Heh, I might drop down to that just to preserve my precious ATAR score (which replaced UAI).
At least it’s not as bad as that maths in society bollocks.

I WAS in 2 unit for year 11 but I guess I failed my exams so they dropped me down to general for year 12.
:what: :brow: :what:
head explodes
I did it for a year in year 11, but in year 12 i changed career path and didn’t need to do it anymore.
To my knowledge, as of last year, Universities (in NSW at least) decided to make all High School courses ‘assumed knowledge’ instead of required to enter a course. So even if you do General Maths you can go for a Uni course which assumes you’ve done the Full Mathematics course. It gives you time between High School and Uni to get your act together.
Yeah!!! It was rather intuition than correct derivation, though .
WTF are you saying ?!? Differential equation of two variables in high school? I remember doing differential equations of one variable, we even had integrals despite it was out of the scope of the teaching program, but never that… Or maybe they changed the program, this whole gymnasium thing creeps the shit out of me :fffuuu:
Sport is compulsory at my school. AFTER school hours… :’(
That pretty much makes me a vegetable.
and
don’t fit together
:hmph:
Actually I was referring to a kind of school, not to a gym .
I just spent 8 hours going over the math from the last 10 years or so of school, as preparation for my next year. Note that this is a course in school, for today and tommorow. I’ll tell you this: if you don’t keep up, you might as well quit.
Wow, no wonder American students are so far behind everyone else. We only had basic calculus in my (public) High School.
So the logic tells me that there wont be any new developments coming out soon .
what logic is that? forgive me, I’m excessively right-brained and therefore mathematically illiterate.
if you can solve that equation, then answer is yes.
I suspect that you cannot solve that equation, that means no
Lol I have hard problems with polynomials division so I’ll pass.
I was assuming JamesKane’s post meant if anyone solved the problem, new developments would come out soon. By “come out” I assumed he meant the new developments would be public. Are you implying that JamesKane gave YOU a private update, which you are keeping secret?
They don’t tech us 'mercan kids 'bout no fancy algorythmic mathemarithmetics.
(Cut)
EDIT: Oh, sorry, I just checked what “come out” mean
Shit man, I’m still doing this in school too.
Derivatives I get, but partial derivatives?
Meh, guess we haven’t covered it yet.
