So there’s this area right, and there’s this objective that you have to do and then, like, there’s this stairway that goes to this other area, oh man it’ll be awesome.
Best thing of all, the whole map is textured with, get this, orange textures! OH MAN, IT’LL BE THE BEST MAP EVER.
I’ve made a few maps that will never see the light of day, so what the hell.
de_greenhills was a hospital map with bombsites in the waiting and OR areas. Had lots of custom assets and teams would spawn at opposing parking lots. Had some pretty nifty features, one was a revolving door which in the end didn’t work well with any sort of ping.
de_mist was a Denver freeway overpass and irrigation system with bombsites in the control room and pump areas. Pine trees and cliffsides.
de_edge I’m still working on, but it’s a mall in the style of mirrors edge. Did some custom modern furniture and very clean bright colorful textures and storefront signs. Looking pretty good.
de_newyork
in this map you must plant the bomb in the WTC,all buildings in de_newyork are fully explorable and have dynamic destruction
i’m gonna start right now
Here are the screens of de_mist. I had the fog turned off in this build for testing and having trouble finding the original vmf at the moment. (This was made like 4 years ago)
This map was made before I started using custom assets in source, way back in the day. de_greenhills took place afterwards and was a hospital mid-renovation, so it had a few of the industrial bits.
I believe you’ve seen a bit of edge, and I’m working on a Silent Hill esque mod right now with lots of interesting architecture.
Thanks for the interest. Looking for a larger scale mod to help on if you happen to know any. Applied for BM way back in 2005 I believe, but didn’t get in because I admittedly sucked balls then. Peace
