Will you make black mesa for mac on the steam release? please reply

I don’t normally post in forums but upon reading the last post, I feel like being helpful…

You can install Windows on your Mac through Bootcamp. I use my Mac for work and switch it over to Windows 8 periodically to access most all Steam games off my external hard drive (even if they have Mac support, they most often ALWAYS run better on Windows because of better support for graphics card drivers).

Black Mesa looked and played beautifully on my Macbook Pro 2010 (Gforce 320m, Intel i5 2.4Ghz). I’d say its worth going through the trouble of getting Windows on your machine!

That doesn’t really help the whole, “native support” issue.

Source SDK Base 2007 is now available for Linux (so I guess it’s for Mac too). So is it difficult to port the game?

If you really want to run Black Mesa without dual booting Windows, you need to learn how to get wine to work, the mod is not compiled to run on the Linux version yet.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
