Loss of Interest in BM?

i lost interest in bm awhile ago, never had much to begin with. i probably won’t download the mod when it comes out. i’m sure it might come back eventually when i see a video or picture that truly appeal to me. but until then, my interest level for this mod is at zero.

Because I haven’t posted yet.

And here is what I have to say : Patience.

Now go ahead and do what you want with this thread.

LETS TURN THIS THREAD INTO A… THRASH METAL THREAD! X-tra you seem to like metallica… I’m a huge megadeth fan…

I had the honor of headbanging to Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer and MetallicA live on one scene in one day… HELL YEAH!

That’s why I lost interest in Black Mesa… NOT! :stuck_out_tongue:

And yet you were roaming these boards to notice this thread and report on how you have absolutely no interest in this mod anymore, despite you… roaming… these boards? What?

Also, X-Tra’s signature made me realize that they only made 4 good albums out of the 11 they released. How are they still so popular, considering their last 6 albums? The other one I personally didn’t like, was Justice For All. Only good song on that one… Is One.

downloading a mod of this size(by estimation probably around 1gb) for a game i no longer have installed will probably take 3-4 hours of download and installation combined on my system. if this was a game i was interested in, i wouldn’t care if i had to download it overnight, but since i currently am not interested, taking more than 2 hours to set everything up, download halflife2 and then download this mod is not worth the time and effort.

i personally believe there is about a 30 percent chance of this attitude changing when the mod and exciting post-release media content rolls out. it’s hard to say at this point what my reaction will be, but as of now, i am completely devoid of interest in this mod.

But what are you doing on a messageboard of a game you have no interest in?

I have no interest in Bioshock for example, and you don’t see me roaming their messageboards and making posts just to say I don’t have any interest in it.

If you don’t like waiting that long, install HL2 now and it’ll be playable a few hours earlier.

Some dev (probably raminator or rabidmonkey… might be both.) said that the complete mod will be 11gb. TAKE THAT. DOWNLOAD 44HOURS.

Invention of both the Warp Drive and the Geller Field enables faster-than-light (FTL) travel and accelerates the colonisation process of the Milky Way galaxy; the early independent or corporate colonies become federated to Terra(Earth). The first alien races are encountered and the first wars between Humanity and aliens begin.

Media Release 382-485

25,000:
Terra and all Human colonies are gradually isolated from each other by the powerful warp storms that suddenly begin to rage throughout the galaxy. Warp travel along with interstellar trade consequently becomes increasingly difficult until all but impossible. The interdependency of human planets eventually breaks down entirely. Several Human worlds, including Terra, dependent on trade to feed their enormous populations enter a long period of revolt, anarchy, and civil war due to famine. Some even regress to barbarity. The rate of mutation increases dramatically throughout all Human worlds. Isolationism leads to the development of Abhumans. Several alien races, especially the Orks, take advantage of the situation to raid and plunder many of the Human colonies. Other colonies are conquered or completely destroyed. Some worlds are dominated by Human psykers and other mutants only to fall prey to Warp creatures, as Daemons appear possessing and/or consuming the weak and inexperienced psykers. Amid the confusion and chaos, the STC systems and knowledge about them are largely lost. Humanity is gradually pushed to the brink of annihilation.

Media Releases Halt as a result.
Black Mesa Source is again Delayed.

Appearance of the Emperor of Mankind on Terra, which has been completely devastated and torn apart by several feuding warlords.

While it would be considered the greatest game ever made, due to the unfortunate fact that everybody lost interest in it several thousand years before; it goes largely unnoticed.

Megadeth > Metallica

well naturally

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwGFalTRHDA&feature=search

The difference between Metallica and Megadeth is that Metallica stopped making decent albums 19 years ago.

Also: Megadeth still sounds nice live. James just can’t handle vocals anymore, Lars looks and sounds like a demented Animal (from the Muppets, that is), Robbert was born a few hundred of thousands of years too late, and Kirk still can’t solo for shit live.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
