Live interview with Chris Odd.

Here is part 1 of 3, of the live interview I did with Chris Odd.

part 1https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kd9OC1lQHZs

part 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZhWkxyp1rY&list=UUdAy0KqpdA2Lp2_Qp0yNk2g&index=4&feature=plcp

part 3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8DBlLW1b-Q&feature=plcp

You’ve got to do one of those music-gameplay videos, and if possible, maybe show off some “unrecognizable” versions of tracks, maybe in a dev commentary, or something.

But that was interesting. Are the next parts currently being uploaded or will we have to wait (assuming you know)?

The intro of “Blast pit 3” and the whole “On a rail 1” make me cry!

an idea
would be cool to listen an exended version of BM theme.

My Favorite tracks

Blast pit 3
BM theme
QE 1
On a rail 1

I’m looking forward to see your walkthrough of BM

Wow, I wasn’t expecting this. I actually just went to his channel and saw “interview with Black Mesa’s Joel Nielsen” and I was like “wait…what?”

Also Joel, you have a nice voice for interviews.

WHeeeeere is parrrrrt twoooooo?
Good to hear your voice Joel
edit: If you were able to implement the scripted song for the Surface Tension vent drop, why not do the same for activating the Blast Pit? That way the song can go quiet the moment you intended it to be.

Very informative and entertaining. Your work is great. I’ll look forward to any work done by you in the future. Your tracks really lock onto their associated parts in the story.

Thanks for the insight. Best of luck in the future. Also, can’t wait for the Xen tracks

ChristopherOdd is awesome. You all need to go check out his YouTube channel immediately. He’s new to the HL games and has been playing them all in order, he just recently began EP1. He’s got a great voice, he’s pretty funny, he uploads every day, and he takes feedback from comments into account. He is also a smart player so he doesn’t get frustrating to watch like some people who do Let’s Plays. All in all, VERY GOOD stuff, go check him out.

^Oh, and this. :jizz:

I agree, I like ChristopherOdd. He’s one of the few LPers I can stand watching.

I like voice of both of you :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks guys! Part 2 is now up.

yeah, Mr.Odd does good LPs
And this is a great interview!

Wow, very educating  Can’t wait for Xen, but you didn’t answer the audio part of it :stuck_out_tongue:

I edited your original post with links, Joel. Hope you don’t mind.
Great interview so far, very informative and interesting to listen to. Looking forward to part 3!

Ah, just finished Part 3. Fantastic interview! I really hope you plan on releasing the scrapped BM soundtracks sometime. It would be interesting to hear.
And I’m also happy to see a lot of ChristopherOdd’s fans here. Been following him since the middle of his BM playthrough

hinge please stick this in the first post:
part 3

Done!

Awesome interview Joel! It’s good to see some more of these dev interviews that give us a bit more insight into the development process. Well done!

You guys are much too kind.

Thanks Joel for meeting with me, it was a super time!

Chat soon. You know…about hockey and maple syrup and stuff.

Forget about Freeman, Joel Nielsen is where it’s at

-pokes- Hi. :retard:

And I enjoyed the interview. Can’t wait to hear Xens soundtrack.
