Lets Talk Vegetarianism

You are right. I sure wish I could misinterpret arguments, respond with a face palm smiley, post a dead link, and then pout about how bad at arguing points another person is.

I don’t know how I’ll get over that.

Congratulations! You just summarized an internet debate!

Also, the best way to deal with Vegetarians is to think of what they are missing.

Delicious dog-food-grade meat “products.” MMMMMMMMMMM

Nah, just kidding dawg, I actually eat meat sometimes.

This is why I’m not a vegetarian:

and

Cite your fast food all you want (we live in a chemical-laden environment), but there are alternatives. Organic beef. Non-factory farmed, free range chicken (I’m casting a glance your way, mga).

If you don’t want to eat meat, great. More for me. But what I have a problem with is those that are snooty about it and condescending to those that do eat meat and then wonder why they get it back in spades.

I am all for Vegetarians that choose that way for healths sake.

but vegetarians on principle can go to hell.

Fact Sheets: Beyond Beef

Yea I know I said I wouldn’t post more on this topic, but now that someone has mentioned organic beef to be a good thing to eat, I figured someone ought to point out the possible consequences of beef consumption.

Just for your information (and hopefully, interest).

Ha, you americans can go and eat your poisonous beef, I’m pretty safe here in Australia with 100%, chemical free, aussie beef, lamb, goat, chicken from the local butcher. Oh and whenever i go to maccas, i get a fillet-o-fish.

Can’t agree with that. Especially not with the example. For me, it just gets more fascinating the deeper you look. But whatever.

Yep, that got a problem for me as well. I was visiting my family over the holidays and had promised they would not have to cook anything especially for me, for I would see to it that I make and bring my own food so they don’t have any trouble with it.

However, my mother had already shopped for meat subsitutes and vegan sausages so that I could basically eat the same meals as mom and dad did, just with the meat substituted. I never asked for it, nor did I expect it, she was just such an angel that she wanted me to feel as comfortable as possible with my choice, even at home where meat is still on the menu (mainly due to my dad who won’t let go of bad habits even if they threaten his health).

At first I felt awful, because she had bought all this stuff for me, but then she explained to me that she actually had had quite a bit of fun learning about all the different products there are, and all the different substitutes for beef, sausage, ham and bacon that are available for vegetarians. So I guess it wasn’t that bad after all.

Hahaaa, you’re weird

You know - it’s kinda funny: You’re not the first one to tell me this. Hmm…

It’s not like I have ever had a much deeper look into any vagina than any other man on this planet. It’s just that the number of available “spread” pictures on the internet suggests to me that a lot of men might share that attitude with me.

Can’t be that weird…

But I wasn’t only referring to the example. The deeper you look into something and the deeper insight you gain into a certain topic, the more fascinating it gets. Looking at things under a microscope used to be one of my favourite hobbies when I was in school.

True. But the vagina example… well… umm… still weird

Maybe man’s innate urge to know where he came from?

Wasn’t it Nietzsche that said that the deeper you look into a vagina, the deeper the vagina looks into you?

But, to me, the most annoying argument I’ve ever heard against meat is the “health” argument and that they say that fast food meat is just as bad as cigarettes. Excuse me? I can sit down next to someone that wolfs 5,000 Quarter Pounders in a month and not gain a single pound from any of them. The same person smoking cigarettes, however…but I digress.

I say, eat what you want. If you don’t want to eat meat, awesome. You have a list of reasons why you don’t, cool story, bro. But, insult me because I do and you and I are gonna tangle.

Norman walker lived to be 99 by having a balanced diet (about 75% live food aka plants) and about 25% meat. He would drink a few glasses of juice he made from his juice press machine. I’ve tried the carrot apple juice at my one of my friend’s who has a Norwalk Juicer and wow, it tastes great, everything is from concentrate (no pulp at all) very sweet and you feel you have more energy 2 minutes after drinking it.

mmmmm… I really want a Norwalk Juicer.

But our version of Left 4 Dead 2 is better than your version.

And our government isn’t trying to control the internet.

Is anyone here a vegetarian that inexplicably eats fish, because I’m trying to understand that concept, and an explanation would be nice.

During the process of getting used to “not eating meat anymore” I mainly relied on fish if my urge for consuming animal proteine got too strong, but then I stopped doing that because I found I didn’t need it anymore.

But I guess that doesn’t qualify me to answer.

But why does fish not count as meat?

Because vegans are retarded.
