Lambda Windows 7 Logo At Bottom Of Login screen

so as your probanly know, there is a windows logo at the bottom of your windows 7 logon screen, saying “Windows 7 Ultimate” or “Windows 7 Home Premium” and next to that is a windows logo. Well i found a way to modify that windows logo. so instead of this boring windows logo there, i put a Half-Life 2 logo, its still in the shape of a windows logo, but it looks cool, none the less

to change it go to, X:windows/branding/basebrd/basebrd.dll and replace it with the given one

it will look like

Didn’t you quit the forums?

And tbh I’d rather not replace a system dll file with one supplied by swampfox :hmph:

this

and i tested the modified dll, and it works fine :meh:

Worked fine how? Killed your computer? :stuck_out_tongue:

no worked fine as in, i had to do a system restore, then worked out all of the bugs, and now its the same as the original, except for the modified bitmap inside of the dll

Oh, well that’s reassuring.

no one will ever believe you

O hai! I feel like downloading a dll file from a random guy on the internet, anyone got any?

Wohoo you mean there’s one in this thread??!! It’s my lucky day!

It all goes back to the inherent and basic distrust that this forum feels regarding downloading and installing stuff based on what is offered in said forum.

It was just the other day that someone suggested to deleted the system32 file.

Yes… that explains a lot.
