It’s debateable. Most people will tell you that AMD often gives you more bang for the buck, but intel generally has better high-end options.

Shit, I have the same problem. Well, I don’t know about the temperature thing, but my game does lag like hell, yet I can play Left 4 Dead 1 with no problems at all!
