Well I mean if they pay for your utilities, food, and other living expenses and you live in their house then I think they have a right to take an interest in how you spend your money (since you only have spare money because of them). If on the other hand you pay rent to your parents, then they should stfu.
Well, they do pay for a lot of stuff. Still, I gave up two summers literally working every day to get enough money to buy a PC. When they ended up buying it for me, I asked if I could use the money to buy a PS3. They didn’t quite like that question at all…

Just because it was announced in Microsoft’s press conference doesn’t mean they own it exclusively. It just means that they wanted to draw attention to the fact that it will be on xbox 360.
