jambo's LEGO thread of Super Star Destroyers

I know everyone wanted updates so here’s my thread! Finally started building this behemoth on Monday night, got through quite a lot of it after a few hours of building. I was playing Gears 3 last night so no building, but I’ll get back on it tonight.

LEGO Super Star Destroyer 10221 - Build update | Everyone was asleep so the video is silent.

The technic stuff was incredibly time consuming, but it’s made the thing damn sturdy!

Oh I am impressed, you can follow instructions.

LEGOS ARE FUN

Those instructions always make me question my abilities, because they put one or two extra pieces in the box.

If they were going to make Super Star Destroyers, then why not actually make it larger than the regular Star Destroyer kit? :expressionless:

This is the kind of Lego that rocks, the kind where you have the classic blocks with only a few unique shapes thrown into them.

Lego had this dark period not long ago where nearly the entire thing was prefab and you just had to click 4-5 parts together and add a few random classic blocks for lulz.

Kind of sad that I don’t have the room to display these kinds of awesome builds. Who knows, maybe one day.

Those ultimate collector series are a great, if only that Millennium Falcon was a bit cheaper.

Like Bolteh said, classic lego like this rocks. And technik in years gone by. I have the Silver Champion Technik F1 car, and the Fiber Optic Shuttle. Anything more recent than those isn’t really worth looking at imho

awesome, I loved Darth Vader lil’ figure

Might actually get this for my brother, as he has enough space, is a massive Lego fan as well as a Star Wars fan.

But it depends on what he gets me for my birthday this year (brotherly love, wtf is that?)

I have a ton of Legos that more or less sit around and do nothing. I should do some work with those again someday- I built a full size assault rifle with a detachable suppressor for my last from-scratch build.

Last Christmas I’ve received the Death Star Lego. That damn thing took me 3 days but it’s huge !

i find this like 10 times more cool than i would ever admit in public

O.k. I’m not gonna lie, its cool that he has it and maybe some part of me is jealous because I wanted something like that as a kid but they where just too damn expensive. But it would be much more impressive if it was something that jambo actually designed.

Because canonically, Super Star Destroyers are 15 times the size of a star destroyer (Why do I know that?), and that would kinda be a bit large for a lego set. And cost $20,000.

Can’t you just accept it as awesome and move on?

I modeled my own Jeep once. I made an engine bay with a lego V8 inside it too.

I can’t find proof though, so I’ll just be the crazy cook who says he built that. :frowning:

I like how cook and cook have the same spelling.

In that post, at least.

Mocpages has a few cases of talent beyond comprehension sprinkled among the hundreds of thousands of 13 year olds that ruin their bionicles with sharpies

The lego technik Bugatti Veyron with electric everything is pretty impressive.
