I’ve been mixin’ with Ableton for over a year now, but yeah, I clearly don’t know what you’re talking about. Really, you could’ve just down-pitched and slowed it and you would have gotten the same result. Because you complicated something that wasn’t doesn’t mean you deserve respect.
Okay mate, Ableton is a cool program, I use Cubase
I could have done that yea, but I would have ended up with it sounding as if I just slowed down the track, and thats just lazy.
Listen to any of the “slowed down” versions on youtube, I guarantee in comparason they dont sound as effective for a truly scary sound, because they used the original file and simply pitched it down which, I went much much deeper than that. I had more flexibility with what I could do with it because I used re-synthesis. So it doesnt sound like the same song.
Just trust me on this one, if you dont believe it then I can provide evidence (not that it will make a difference to your opinion), but it might be interesting.
