Is there any to port certain BM models to another game?

What I’m saying is, there is a light model that I love (light_sleek02, I think it’s called), and I want to use it for a CSS map. Problem is, attempting to port and use it results in this “cannot find vertex” error, and this causes the map to not be updated.

Is there a way around this issue?

You should just be able to copy the model files and it’s textures over to your CSS folder to use. You sure it’s the model causing the vertex error?

I am not sure. I did what you did, but the issue seems to stand.

I have a feeling that the model files all point to the file being located in the BMS folder and not the one in the CSS folder.

You copied all of the models files over? Not just the .mdl, but the .vtx, .vvd, etc.

I have, good sir.

In fact, I copied the models and materials folders over (for texture purposes).

Hm… I’ll go try it with the model you need, in the meantime, you test the model in a separate map, if you haven’t already.

Edit:
It’s working fine for me

Verify that you have all the files and that it’s not just the map.

Files I’ve copied over:

"cstrike\materials\models\props_blackmesa\light_sleek02_off.vmt"
"cstrike\materials\models\props_blackmesa\light_sleek02_off.vtf"
"cstrike\materials\models\props_blackmesa\light_sleek02_on.vmt"
"cstrike\materials\models\props_blackmesa\light_sleek02_on.vtf"

"cstrike\models\props_blackmesa\light_sleek02.dx80.vtx"
"cstrike\models\props_blackmesa\light_sleek02.dx90.vtx"
"cstrike\models\props_blackmesa\light_sleek02.mdl"
"cstrike\models\props_blackmesa\light_sleek02.phy"
"cstrike\models\props_blackmesa\light_sleek02.sw.vtx"
"cstrike\models\props_blackmesa\light_sleek02.vvd"

Okay, now it seems to work. Maybe the mistake I made was copying the whole BMS models folder and not just the ones with the prop_ prefix.
