Finland has never been a part of the U.S.S.R… Finland became independent from Russia in 1917. The Soviet Union was formed in 1922.
Finland was helped by Germany in World War 2 during the Continuation War that happened after the Winter War. There might have also been some help from some countries during the Winter War, but I can’t name any. The German forces had to be driven out by force as agreed in a deal with the U.S.S.R.
During the cold war Finland tried to remain neutral. It kept itself as a western nation, while still keeping good relations with the U.S.S.R.
(This is what I kinda remember from my history lessons, someone else with deeper knowledge might find serious flaws in my post.

As to who will be that savior of the world: The whole “USA, the savior of the world” thing seems like a bit of a cliché. Maybe they will use it or not. They might add a fun twist to the old idea, if they are going to use it.
But the movie seems cool. I am going to keep an eye on it.

I still don’t get how you would do a Dr. Strangelove in Space. It almost sounds like a rip-off of Killzone, with the Helghast replaced with Nazis if you haven’t read up on it.
Coincidentally, I always compared to Helghast to Nazis when I first played Killzone.

it’s not “fake” but its not, like some have implied, “being made” either. It’s a really common thing for small or indy studios to make short trailers like this in order to make a pitch for the funding to actually produce the product.
