Fear of lack of buttons and price aside, I enjoy my iPhone 3G (bought for cheap on Craigslist, of course) very much. The 3.0 update only makes it better.

I can’t even imagine myself separating my phone and PMP again… it’s just the little things that are cool, like going on a bike ride or run while listening to music and being able to pick up your phone.

iPhone rocks. 3.0 is even better. Only paid $99 for mine two months ago, on a renewal. Costs me $60 a month; 500Mb, unlimited texting, evenings, weekends, 250 daytime, visual voicemail, call and name display. 8Gb: plenty. Who needs thousands of songs with them at one time, when you have to charge it every day?

What’s with all the iphone hate? I would get one if I could afford it and by that I mean that there are dozens of other things I would rather have, but if I had tons of extra money lying around I would by an iphone.

Different subsidies. Depending on which contract you go for, the phone company will chop a bunch off the price of the handset. I believe you get a free iPhone if you agree to hand O2 £75 a month.
