Sounds like a good idea to me.
one more year added to release time. thanks.
Well, they also said it would be out in 2009, but looks like that didn’t happen either. When the soundtrack is released I will be one among many to anticipate BMS to release in the next couple weeks, but I would not hold my breath.
I like that idea. But they really seem to be shooting for a near perfect release. It probably already has less glitches than most video games today because that’s what they’ve mainly been working on.
Holding your breath for two weeks would not be advisable.
As for the launcher, I think that’s a great idea. Whenever Deathmatch comes out, it’ll be a great way of ensuring everybody’s playing the same version.
Ever heard of Steam? I heard it has automatic updates…
That’s assuming it gets released on Steam.
Just because you get to launch it through Steam doesn’t mean it gets fully integrated into it.
Please don’t release it during my exams in May.
Yeah, there better not be any glitches… if I stumble upon something then well, what a waste of extra time and work?
Node Graph Out of Date. Rebuilding
Nothing serious, but it is a gameplay stopper
Dare I hope?..
Prepare for the worst. Expect the best.
Well the 2 weeks thing they’ve been consistent with, and they’ve never let us down with that because its never happened.
I was always under the impression there would be auto updates. I’m too tired and lazy to do any looking up of this, but I’m pretty sure.
Well, my theory on this is that they have had the soundtrack done for months now, and if they weren’t prepared to release the game 2 weeks after the soundtrack as promised, why bother to release it then? They have no public release date for the soundtrack, they have it all at their own finger tips, and can easily push the soundtrack back as needed until the 2 week release time is feasible.
Then you’ll be one out of thousands of players when they only had a handfull of testers. You’re gonna hit something they never saw. That’s how it works. That’s why Bethesda games are so fucking glitchy.
If it’s not a game-breaking glitch, or something annoying that doesn’t go away, I shouldn’t care. But anything like that I’m sure they took care of. They would fix it and release another version soon after, anyways – I mean if you waited 7 years for the mod you can wait for an update, right?
Moreover, this would be the first time things actually appear to resemble some sort of imminent release; the Twitter, the Facebook, Soundtrack Preparation, etc.
But honestly, I’m so used to burying my eagerness that I’m actually finding it difficult to get excited – I can’t tell if it’s worth it. If my Black Mesa Forums Instinct serves me well, we should see Ram or something come in here and kick the legs off the excitement table. Though, from what I can see, there is an obscure absence.
Ram’s deflation of the hype bag T minus three hours.
I thought Bethesda games were so fucking glitchy because it’s hard to find every glitch in a game world the size of Australia.
That’s how God forgot to remove all the poisonous monstrosities from Australia as well.
