Impending Soundtrack Release?

Even if you don’t care about the release itself you should care that all the planning and teamwork goes smoothly haha. It’s just like watching your kid get onto the school bus for the first time… scared at hell, hoping it doesn’t crash, sometimes even getting in your car and following it. You know what I mean right? No? Okay…

I’ve gotten high hopes several times since the first missed release date that this mod would come out soon - but I’m pretty sure all things considered, it would be unrealistic for the mod to not come out sometime this year.

Considering the amount of work the team puts into it still - it’s really just a matter of time. But I’m fairly certain they will be done before the “proposed” end of the world

Why should I being scared when my kid will take the bus for the first time ? I don’t follow. What’s the point to follow the bus if you can drop yourself your child to school ? And unless you don’t trust your local department of transportation, it will go fine.

And teamwork about the soundtrack and the mod is limited now to Carlos or any other dev giving the thumbs up to Joel for release…

Whatever dude, I come here once in a great while to check out the forums. I made an analogy to something that maybe wasn’t all that clever but does it really truly matter? All I’m saying is (and for god sake’s don’t bash me) I hope that when they do release everything goes fine and smooth and I wish them the best of luck.

‘The soundtrack will contain 30 tunes for a total length of 50 minutes and 31 seconds.’

30+50+31 = 111

Valve… are gonna announce Half life 3!

“proposed” Please elaborate, who, when, etc…

I won’t bash you :stuck_out_tongue:

And everything will be ok unless North Korea starts WW3.

It’s really irrelevant at this point to when the end of the world was ‘supposed’ to be, because that date happened around July of last year or something due to the leap year. Also that big ass asteroid that was supposed to hit passed by on April 9th, possibly coming back in 2029 or something like that. Anyways it was supposed to be 12/21/2012, when the Myan calender abruptly stopped. There’s some pretty cool astronomical events that happen on that day (every year), and some people freaked out and thought the world was coming to an end. It’s not, like Mont_Blanc said, we most likely have until North Korea or Iran start launching off nukes… so be afraid of that instead!

I always wonder about the Mayan calender…maybe THEY ended before their calender did.

Even when they release the soundtrack, there’s still no guarantees that BMS will release shortly after.

Yes there is, the Dev’s have always said the soundtrack will be out 2 weeks before the mod.

i cant believe until it actually happens.

5 years of waiting and believing taught me not to believe.

OhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygod

I mean… clears throat That’s interesting

I’m waiting for Black Mesa since pretty much the very start of the project, so if I can wait for it calmly, than everyone can. Of course I also hope the release is nerby, but the thing is it’s closer than ever, and that’s enough for me.

I’m feeling a little optimistic today. Twitter updated for the first time in a loooooong time, and some facebook pics uploaded. Even if they are fan made stuff, at least it is something.

When the soundtrack does release, that will be the longest 2 weeks in history.

Ikr?

Another 1,276 days is indeed a long two weeks. No, no, in all seriousness, I hope that it does come out soon and we all spend the following weeks playing one of the best Half-Life 2 mods ever.

Also, on a side note, I wonder how active this forum will be after the mods release.

In all honesty, I doubt I’ll visit. I check back every now and again for release information and just so happen to stumble upon (un)interesting threads and give them a read, but once I stop caring for release, I doubt I’ll visit at all.

I’ll still pop back in just to see what’s up. And Black Mesa is to be patch supported so it’s important to at least visit the site every once in a while.

I s’pose. If they don’t release the mod through Steam (I don’t know if they are or not, haven’t read the mod FAQ because the only rule you need to know is that it’ll be done when it’s done) then I think they should do what the Cry Of Fear guys did and release a launcher that can update the game for you. That would be perfect.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
