While I agree he’s a fruitcake, believing in god is an advanced mental misapprehension that leads to broken reasoning – not believing in conspiracies. I think you may have gotten that confused; but believing in conspiracies can come from a range of personal-insecurities, ones that lead up to the constant suspicion that said individual is continuously the target for harmful lies and secrets. If I had to make a guess based on what I only know right now, I would say that that he has a Social-Anxiety-Condition brought on by some kind of social trauma that he experienced as a child; most aptly before the age of 7 (the age of reason), affecting his ability to prioritize mental-pragmatism.
