Fun Fact: All of the “Beta Soundtack” you see on youtube are actually Over-Clocked remixes of commercial songs, or not by valve at all.
Nah, the only thing I would have liked was this guy being in the game.
Seriously, that was the best scrapped enemy.
Makes me sad to not see it in the game…
More of the sounds the Alien made in the first film.
I like to think of it as the end result of the transhuman Combine.
I think the Immolator would have been a pretty formidable enemy if it were kept in the full game
I havent seen any content from that beta. Could someone pass a link for me?
To the content (pics, facts etc) that is.
I think Hydra is a pretty cool guy, eh was the best cut npc and doesn’t afraid of anything.
Cheers mate!
I know.
Hell, I would have just loved to see a small reference or glimpse of this guy.
:C
It looks so…intimidating and would look like it would fit in the Half-Life Universe.
Makes me sad…
I suppose it’s possible we may see it in Episode 3, given that they’re bringing back beta content, but it seems unlikely. Oh well, there’s always mods!
Really?
I don’t remember seeing any in the latter episodes. They said they were for Episode 3?
Off the top of my head, I remember they brought back:
- Combat with Stalkers (originally in the citadel)
- The Antlion Tunnels (originally part of sandtraps)
- Antlion Grubs (originally part of the antlion tunnels)
- The Arctic Base (completely removed, then re-added)
- The Borealis (originally removed, then re-added)

It usually tends to be more subtle than bringing back whole enemies, however.
Like how it’s in sven co-op 2?
Well, was.
Fuck.
If HL2ep3 is the last installment to the serie, they’re probably fitting everything they can into it. THe last game is an appropriate time for load blowing.
