I noticed something

Okay, so my little sis is watching some Scooby Doo movie about the Loch-Ness Monster, right?

And I realized, whenever the monster groans, it makes the exact same sound as the Tentacles in Half Life.

Here, go to 2: 35 and watch that scene in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9w9SxfzwjeY&feature=related#movie_player
And to compare, here’s Tentacle sounds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChuVOkwcDV0 (The one I’m talking about is at 0: 35)
You’ll see what I mean.
Post your thoughts on it cB

uhh… OK it does… What’s there to discuss about it?

EDIT: This thread should be for anyone to share some weird discovery in general. So does anyone else have anything cool to share?

EDIT AGAIN: There actually is already a threadfor this kind of thing.

Nice !

Alright them.

I’ve found sound clips from other shows that use some sound bites from some of the original half life songs.

Kinda funny when that happens.

Geeks that make tv shows /movies = geeks that played HL.

I have heard the doors from Doom used in a few thiings, though I can’t remember what off the top of my head…

Is there any other type of geeks?

Geeks who thinks of WoW when I say Warcraft.

Those aren’t geeks, they’re sad examples of society.

Anyone know the original meaning of geek?

I heard the Poison Zombie death howl in Pirates of the Carribean :stuck_out_tongue: . I hear the fast zombie scream all the time.

My brother was playing some internet flash game and all the sounds were from half-life.

i am an acolyte in an esoteric cult.
the levitating thing with a hundred eyes we worship sounds like the regular zombies in HL2.

Good for you.

You people don’t seem to know much about sound archiving do you? Gunshots and screams have been recycled in the film industry since the 60s.

Wilhelm scream.

is that the “eeeyaaaaaaahgh” one, or the “oooAwyAw!” one

oh yeah, and what’s that female scream that’s like “aaah eAAaah-ah”

I’ve even heard CSS sounds (reloading clips) in a movie. I can’t remember which one, though.

wtf it dosnt sound that simillar at all O_o Im pretty sure its just sound of some animal ;f
