I may have met another forumer..

I was walking past the Engineering building towards the SAC in SBU when I see a guy walking past towards Engineering with…A BM T-SHIRT. DUN DUN DUUUUUUNNN.

So, just asking here for anyone to answer…Were any of you at SBU going to Engineering wearing a BM t-shirt at approximately 10:35 am?

I was wondering why you where staring at me like you wanted to undress me…

Well, that was quick.

I think he was kidding…RIGHT?

I could drive to new york it would take me very little time, but I don’t have a BM t-shirt.

I’m pretty sure anyone with BM apparel is not a forumser, but rather a current or former member of the dev team. I’ve witnessed a pretty snazzy windbreaker/hoodie on an acquaintance who’d done some work on it.

I could walk to New York from my house, but I have never driven up near Stony Brook, and don’t own any BM apparel.

The official STaff Black Mesa hoodie is black and clearly states on the back “Black Mesa Developer”. (yes i have one) Any other is a substitute, fan, or forumite.

You should have hugged him. =p

You could have stopped him and asked him about it. It’s not a crime…
.

it is, annoyance^^

A few of the people I know in “real life” use the the BM forums, not frequently, but they probably made a few posts.

Realistically, how often will you meet a fellow forumite, or simply a mod-follower who is bold enough(even less likely) to ask? As long as they did so in a polite way, I can’t see a problem. Shirely you run the risk of having along theselines happening, simply by buying the item of clothing in the first place?!
.

I saw a kid in a BM shirt, but he was fat as a house.

I also know someone that wasted eighty bucks on a bunch of other HL shirts.

I know our beloved Rabid Monkey lives in my area, however we never met. But if I saw him on the street, I would probably shout out to him a loud “YOU ROCK RABID MONKEY!”

Then again he would probably run away from the old lady with fire red hair screaming at him, but yeah… I would offer up a nod to anyone I recognized as a possible forumite.

I read somewhere that someone on here is from San Antonio, TX. If so, I usually hang out at a Starbucks on the NW side of town, drinking coffee and posting on here. You would recognize me as the guy surrounded by coffee cups and a couple of danishes, which is what I live on outside of classes.

I live at a few kilometers away from Sersoft, but we’ve never been bothered enough to meet eachother. Also it would probably take me about 7 hours to drive to New York. One of these days we should do a North American BM meeting. It would be awesome.

you live in the boston area, amirite? Or am I just making shit up again?

Or an East coast Aus meet up, we’re all of drinking age so it would definitely be awesome.

pissed off at living in a tiny town and being the only one who even knows about bm

The only BM forum member I could meet is samzala.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
