I was searching every nook and cranny for it, and then I randomly came across one place where I was like, “That would be a perfect spot to put the hat!” and BAM there it was!

I won’t say where it was though, that would take all the fun out of it! Who else has found it? :freeman:

I couldn’t get it past the teleporter puzzle, i couldn’t pick it up after going through the portal.

you have to time and toss it in to the portals… I’ve said too much.

I did that, but i couldn’t pick it up again afterwards. It got stuck on the first rotating platform.

Just another version of Garden Gnome achievement. It was quite fun transporting it through the whole game :slight_smile: I suppose it will be fun here, too.

Does it make any difference if the hat gets teleported while i’m still holding it? I haven’t tried throwing it through, but since i went on and finished the game i might not have a savegame to go back to.

OH YEAH! Can you carry this through the loading screens? Because when I tried to take a friend along with me in my journey (a keyboard) it dissappeared in my hands through a loading screen…

I don’t even care though… It wasn’t a good friend! I hated it! I’m actually kinda glad he dissappeared. :’(

Yes, you can carry it past loading screens, it’d be pretty hard to do this if you couldn’t.

Just got it to the end finally, got the achievement, and the little extra bit after the credits was hilarious! :smiley:

Did have some issues with the reactor core though, when I’d toss it through the portal to the next platform, it could still roll around on the platform, but I couldn’t pick it up. I had to shoot it a few times til it popped up into the air and I could grab it again.

Also, the reactor core was annoying in general because if you got too close to the back wall you’d randomly get killed. So fun. :what:

Oh, and the end portal raped my frame rate. I was pretty good all game and then BAM, down to like 4fps.

Now I’ll just have to do it all over when this gets on Steam. Oh god. Hahaha

Edit: And I was meaning to ask what the hat meant, but then randomly stumbled across the answer on Facebook. lol

I played through it 2 times and I can’t find that hat.

Oh, is this a gnome-style achievement? I strangely love those. (I took kleiners cactus plant to the citadel in HL2, and the HEV charger plate to Nova Prospekt :smiley: )
