I couldn't take it anymore

The low quality and slight imperfections of the logo at the top of this site/forum have always bugged me.

So, I redid it in high quality, fixed the thickness of the lambda to match the rest of the font, gave the source-tag the proper HL orange color and saved it as proper .PNG instead of a .PNG that could’ve been a .GIF (and it’s 5kb smaller as well! less bandwidth use!)

I also put it on the right format and position, so all you have to do is replace the image on the server.

Black (actually darkish gray):

Here are the .EPS vector files, all zipped up: https://users.telenet.be/bolteh/BMS_Logo.zip

Now go change it! >_>

But it has AA!

It’s also a still, so you can notice it!

And yay, i got a reply of a dev :OOOO

Or even care about it.

Ok.

:hmph:

Unless, of course, you’re going to argue about Adobe’s kerning.

I don’t like the new header image, way to dark, barely noticable

Looks good, not sure if I like the gray on black though :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey now.

I know what kerning is. Okay, ignore the pixels. Just look at the plain logo. It looks better if you enhance kerning on both sides of the lambda character. To me at least, other people maybe prefer original kerning.

2x :ninja:

Well, there’s a white version too, dunno why Ram took the one meant for light backgrounds :open_mouth:

good doggie

Doh /updates

Raminator, you failed.
rm249, you just won.

After reading the first post, I spent at least four minutes comparing what Bolteh made with the header, not noticing any change.

Then I realized it had already been changed.

The 2nd logo does look better. Just sayin’…

It changed just before I said that rm249 won…

Ah, much better. Thank you rm249!

Well, nobody’s perfect!

It’s great that people not only notice things like this, they fix it, too.
