I find comfort in the thought that life itself won’t end. It has already survived more than 4 billions of years on this planet, has been nearly wiped out completely several times, and always regained new strength.
It would be a shame, though, if humanity became extinct now. We are SO close to actually developing a reasonable method of bringing manpower and material into space (google “space elevator” - the materials needed for this to actually function are already being researched and developed), which would guarantee the survival of the human race regardless of what happens with our planet.
Just one big step ahead, and we could escape extinction.

Wealthy genes as in genes of people who are more successful in life. I’m not trying to spread fascist propaganda here. Just, shouldn’t you stimulate successfulness, rather than punishing it by saying the wealthy should adopt kids? Next to the fact that that would not have a large impact(wealthy people don’t make up a large portion of this earth), you’d get more and more people born into poverty. Which would pretty much make life harder for all.
