And I’m going to walk one chapter per day, to stretch awesomeness! also exploring every single details, searching for some easter eggs, making awesome screenshots and set them to my desktop.
I’ll Play it as I normally play mods. I’ll complete the mod using as few cheats as possible, Then explore the Hell out of the levels on a second playthrough utilizing Impulse 101 and Noclip as much as possible.
Probably gonna spend a good 5 minutes in the entrance to Sector C just because it looks awesome.
In general though, I’m gonna take it slow and enjoy it
slowly.
I’ve already played it in the “media” and “wiki” sections of the website, so…
As few cheats as possible?
the fact that you HAVE to use ANY cheats to complete HL is a worry. It’s hardly a game which needed cheats. It was a pretty damn easy game to complete.
Anyway, I’ll just play it. Not in any special way, I will just play.
Actually, since I’ll be dead by the the time the game is released in 30,000 years time I wont play it at all.
I’ll play it like I play most games. Just go through it and check out things that particularly stand out.
Then, on my second playthrough, I’ll hunt down secrets and easter eggs. Basically just exploring the levels a lot better instead of just trying to experience it.
With a keyboard and a mouse.
I plan on exploring every little detail, particularly in Anomalous Materials. I’m prepared to explore less and less as the game goes on, getting lost in the actual gameplay. However that’s what repeated play throughs are for, as well as finding nifty Easter eggs. :3
The second time I play, I’ll probably noclip out of the tram at the beginning and explore all the details along the tracks too.

:meh: If I were BM dev, I’d feel like
“Oh shit, they wait for the most ultimatest awesomenesseses, WE ARE FUCKED”
Just replace this man with a ferret.
The way the timeline is shaping up…
Ill be sitting in the community rest home, wearing diapers and drinking prune juice with all of my other elderly friends, and we will have just finished the newly released “Duke Nukem: Forever 2”. Alice, the geriatric from down the 200 hallway will let us know that the interweb reports “Another unexpected delay on Black mesa, and even if the most recent trailer had a year of 2040, the Mods report that it was no indication that it would be out in the same year”. Gerald would probably have a heart attack on the spot and die, and unfortunately his living will stipulates that he is only to be resuscitated if and ONLY if Black mesa is released. So we all just sit and watch him die, knowing that we will do the same shortly.
How many Gargantuas are here?! :aah:
I think that’s exactly how I will do it. Of course I’m very keen on exploring all the new details in Black Mesa and stuff, but I don’t want to spoil the fun by stopping every few steps to look at every small detail at the first playthrough, so I will play it as every normal game at the first time and then go for a second run for a closer look on details, compare it with the old HL and so on.
Maybe in a kiddie pool, filled with silicone lube and surrouned by raw steaks, and having dancing girls do the macarena while they throw little pickles at me. Yeah, thats how I’ll do it
with m+kb
I plan on playing it with my Atari 2600.
does that make you happy?
What would Gordon do?
