Just how much time passed between the G-Man putting you into limbo/stasis at the end of Half-life 1 and you finding your sorry bum on a train with two guys in blue clothes complaining about relocation in HL2?Wrong area for this topic but around 20 something years. Valve never gave any indication exactly what year, we only know (if the Combine Overwiki can be taken as a reasonable source of information) that Half-Life took place from May 16th 200- to May 17th 200-. They neve gave exactly what year,but it’s assumed from Alyx’s age (her being like 2 years old in HL to being in her mid 20’s in HL2) that it’s been around 20 years.
~20 yrs is the number most people toss around.

I think that number is based on the assumption that Alyx was the picture in Gordon’s locker and comparing their ages between the two games.
