I’ve been following this game for years so I was excited to download this. The problem is that after downloading it is that I don’t know how to install it. Are there any instructions on how to install this so I can play this game.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Assuming you have steam, put the files into your steamapps folder.
In my downloaded package (torrent) there is an EXE file I simply had to run (exit steam!). Then simply fire up steam and play it or change some startup properties for BM, I have to use: -dxlevel 90 -w 1280 -h 1024 -novid -heapsize 512000 on my Debian system.
Always change -w (width) and -h (height) to your screen resolution if you play on wine to have lesser (not entirely bug-free, but very good playable) bugs.
Any guilde how to install black messa hl and run it?
I must instal steam and source sdk 2007? near 4.8GB files?
So after download… what can i do?
I see copy to steam/steamApps/SourceMods/… here folder? only this?
And how to run this game.

It worked here this way. 
And, if that doesn’t work, you might need to manually install the Source Base SDK 2007 from the Library -> Tools menu in Steam before starting it

But when i lauch the setup it cant find the 7zip file?
and it’s not on steam either.

Okay. I installed it. I went to launch it and it said it had to load the sdk 2007. After that finished I can’t find any way to launch BM. It does not appear in my games library unless it has a super secret name…
I launched sdk 2007 but it just gives a stress test.
I exited and restarted Steam… still no dice…
Any help would be great.
I installed the game and the sdk 2007, and i played the game for an hour last night. the next morning i tried to play it, i couldn’t find it in steam. PLEASE HELP…
Search for it in the steampapps/sourcemods folder. It should be there - the BMS folder. Is it installed there?
Darkkrazy, you need to restart Steam for it to appear.
FrumpyJones, it has the super-secret name of Black Mesa. If you still can’t find it, look right below ‘LIBRARY’ and make sure it says ‘All Games’ in smaller text. If not, click whatever it does say there and select ‘All Games’ from the list that appears.
Just as a note, the download file from Games.On.Net only contained the 7Zip file. I downloaded the setup from the Torrent file, put it and the preexisting .zip file in the same folder, and it all worked fine from then.
However, the Games.On.Net link seems to still be broken, which is a little silly, since I had to register for that site first.
Be sure to install Steam https://store.steampowered.com/Steam
Be sure to install Source SDK 2007. From inside the Steam interface click “Library”, find a dropdown menu that is default labeled as “All Games” and in that dropdown, choose “Tools”. Scroll towards the bottom of the list to find and install the “Source SDK 2007”
Close down and exit Steam
