I think the FAQ button below the “Welcome , you last visited the forums blah blah blah” should link to the FAQ page in the wiki, or remove that button all together
Hey guys, now that the wiki is gaining flesh in a fast pace, could you help to elaborate a manual of standards, general rules and guidelines to make the articles? I started something here, but it is only a collection of links and some templates.
Isn’t the MP5 in the new videos the older version? Because in the video descriptions they say its old beta footage, not how the game is currently.
No, it’s the current version. The render in the media section is even older, pre-beta material.

So one thing I don’t get is how in the wiki the military, turrets, and military snipers all have HECU in front of them. A bunch of articles also refer to HECU, despite the term never being used in HL. So did the devs say that they were going to to retcon that for BM?
Meh, I’ve always found the reflex sight or whatever it’s called ugly.

I just noticed this - Check out the difference between the HEV armor here and here. Is it just me, or maybe we’re getting a sneak peak at the final HEV model?
I prefer the first one. The second is just way too flashy IMO.
I too prefer the first one. The second one appears in all the media I’ve seen up until today, and I’ve always disliked it. It’s too flat and the texture detail is too uniform.
The new (?) model looks closer to the HL2’s wrist “cuff” structure, not to mention somewhat similar to a mockup I posted a while back 
I am rather sure what you see there is not what is currently there.

The first one is just a re-texture of the hl2 suit. Both of the pictures are extremely old. The suit looks different now.

At least it progressed beyond the ugly, flat-shaded arm model. That’s a relief.
I think that one was made after the first one…
Whichever was first, neither one is the current model.
I know, I was just pointing out which direction they were going towards art-wise.
