Help us make an awesome wiki!

As for saying above about the Black Mesa Offline TV, I just wanted to show an example of the idea I suggested:

Probably still processing but…

EDIT
Sorry for the DP.

How do you know shit is not blowing up in that area?

I did some digging, and have managed to go through pages 16-90 and copied every direct legitimate question anyone has asked and a dev has answered. I would do more, but I need to be somewhere right now. I will paste the notepad doc with all the questions and answers a little later(I don’t have Word on this computer). A question though: most of the quotes I found in the Got a question thread are very concise and are in response to either very specific or very general things, and several would be hard to integrate into an article, yet still contain some good information about the mod. Can we create a page in the wiki listing these questions asked and answered?

He does now :3

Pretty much

oh you fans :zip:

Yeah I’ve been thinking about that. Just making a page of questions and answers with no context is bad though, it makes the information hard to find.

Maybe we can add a section to some articles like “Questions and Answers”, or we can make the Trivia section dual purpose for these little tidbit facts.

Maybe change the trivia section to trivia/facts and include those little things there (If they don’t fit better else where)

maybe just start off doing that ass a reference, then add it to the trivia/fact section.

Unless the heater explodes.

Or he was already on fire and walking away from that spot

Haha, <3

Fireproof zombies :fffuuu:

I never said my suggestion represented what was already there. hence it being a suggestion.

also, the fire should cast brighter light around it’s proximity. :3

Don’t worry- Those are the only zombies NOT on fire in the entire lab.

Zzzap!

I just cant stop laughing

It seems the fetish of facesitting extends to the animal kingdom aswell.

Yeah, that could work. It will still be a bit difficult finding a home for quite a bit of the information because its just not that easy to fit it in. For example, say I edited the wiki to say that “According to Developer… BM will make use of the Vortiguant slave model found in the Orange Box shared content.” and then proceeded to cite it by giving a link to the dev response, theres a good chance that it simply says “yep” or “We will” but references nothing in the post that, if seen by itself, would let you know what they are saying will or will not be in the game. That causes the problem where I could say or add anything on the wiki and link back to that ambiguous answer.

What we could do is make a page that is more or less a database of answered questions, and then use that page as the reference page that wiki edits can link back to for any of their contributions. If any of those questions generates confusion, or it just doesn’t have have enough context behind it, we (or just the developers) can have access to edit the reference page and add whatever context we feel is needed to clear up the confusion. That way the questions and answers page is more of a tool for wiki edits than a resource for the unknowledgeable to gleen any information.

I don’t know, I’m not the best idea man, unfortunately. I could just be seeing a problem that doesn’t exist. I’ll let you guys figure it out and go back to gathering dev responses, it shouldn’t take too much longer.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
