You know what the advantages of wikis are? You can correct mistakes.
Right, Office Complex, that does make the most sense.
Maybe they should add a section in the wiki for the bits that got or might get cut from production.
As soon as there’s any info about that I’m sure it’ll get added.
Yeah I know that my english sucks. I didn’t followed an English lesson since 2005 :S
Trying to translate my mind from french to english isn’t as easy as I would like to and I apologies. Hopefully wikis can be corrected.
I already corrected it yesterday
Thanks a lot
Long term lurker here, just joined the forums and wiki in the past few days. Love to help out but looks like you guys have already done an awesome job! First thing I do when I start playing a game is look for a solid wiki - shows that the game has community support, which is a good sign. Just read through this whole thread, so much work - you guys are awesome!
Reasonably confident wiki-editor - any suggestions for where I can help?
I posted something in another thread that can be useful here too, so here we go:
I just updated the main page with a link to the Current Events, a tentative to bring the “news” about the mod development by showing big new stuffs posted in the wiki (like convars updates, new pics added/updated, significant articles created etc). Notice that there is wiki stuff only. Forum posts showing news, developers “personal updates”, official statements will not go there.
Check the area Wiki Updates and you’ll see the link. Details about the current events here.

Cool list, isn’t it? I’ll keep that list in my user page for a long time, mostly because the user pages are stealth… My intention is to create an easy way to find devs quotes until me or someone else find out a way to incorporate them as text in the articles. When a quote is used, I erase the link.
I didn’t create a wiki page for it because some people could find it and be confused by the content (sometimes too old and outdated, conflicting with each other and so forth)…
I wish that editors use that list in a wise manner. So please do some research first and check the date of the quotes!
I finally decided to take matters into my own hands and fixed the file pages
warning tho, it may take ages to come into effect due to the new page cashing service that the website is using. (Even shift F5 wont fix that)
Wouldn’t it be nice to have “Current Events” as a news page? Easily accessible for people who don’t visit the forums too much or don’t know that the wiki is a place to look for news.
Along with that we could squeeze in some comments from the developers, like the recent statement from Raminator for example.
These days most people want info fast. It’s only the fanbase that carefully read the forums and the wiki.
Edit:
Good work!
It was already suggested, but we chose to not take this approach.
beta templates

EDIT: also @Cellander I talk about why I think it is not a good idea to incorporate that type of discussion on the wiki on this talk page. Start reading at the line with the yellow link in it.
Oh, I see. Btw nice job with your wiki page. Now we don’t have to read through 600+ pages of forum posts.
Are you adding all comments from the devs that contain some sort valuable of information?
Thanks for the link.
well the templates are created (look at he current events talk page)
They are {{B&A}} and {{B&A2}}.
I also did a slight cleanup and alignment adjustment.
Saw that! Like the new placement of the user controls. Always found the default media wiki positing of those kinda strange. I fixed a few formatting issues that caused to a few of the templates (Like the protected locks, should have based the positioning off of the content div but I guess I did it the lazy way)
EDIT: new user title
User controls are much better thanks!
Conti - going to start working my way through the gems you have on your userpage - should i PM you once I’ve done each bit or note it on the wiki or here?
Help much appreciated, Phaeton! Do it.
To not polute here you can PM me, but I think is much better if you use my talk page (you can also click on the BM-wiki icon of the badge in my page to get there).
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
