I think this is all fixed now. If you find any more infractions, feel free to PM me.
We have absolutely everything fixed. I just went through the edit logs twice and I guaranty we got it all.
All said and done over 2000 edits were made… Can we please get more people with administrative abilities or AT LEAST some more people with wiki:delete permissions. If that were done we would have been able to completely avoid this whole fiasco.
Right, can I suggest something?
How about when you register to the wiki, you should link it to your forum profile, and then if you have been either a member for over half a year, or have a certain amount of posts, you can modify the wiki? Or just don’t let unregistered people sign up to the wiki?
Or something like that anyway, to stop those idiots from wrecking the wiki.
Sounds complicated, but I think it can be done.
or just lock the wiki for now, the pages are all almost complete
Another suggestion.
I noted that there isn´t a page for environment hazardous materials and dangers.
Like a page, for example, in the Fiction Section, maybe, talking about the electricity, laser, toxic wastes and fire doing damage to the player and a minor detail that is the water slippage, if that is still kept as feature of the game. Also being in water for too much time cause damage, but i don´t remember if there is an indicator, of how much oxygen there is in, the HUD.
Not really. We are continually adding, and editing things on the wiki. There hasn’t been a single day (with the exception of April 1st) that there weren’t least some minor change to the wiki. Even today and yesterday Conti added some bran-spankin-new media derived from the Power Up’s Design document by Kim Dahlgren.
I still think, like FireTime, some additional users should be entrusted with privilages to help contain & manage this sort of thing if it where to happen again.
I agree. Besides Carlos, I am not sure who DOES have this access and why it has not been spread around. Till then we will pick up where we left off and not feed the troll anymore taisty rage.

Also it might be a good Idea to turn on the rate limits or Edit_throttling. It wont stop small spammers, but it will kill those who are using bots.
Well now I’ve certainly missed a lot.
Ok guys! Mission (almost) completed!
I made the redesign history of the chapter Power Up (feel free to correct there spelling mistakes, typos etc), but I’m having a bug to upload the last image I need to complete the gallery. When I try to upload the image, it seems to upload but then whole page stays white and I can’t add the image in the gallery.
Does someone know what is happening, or a workaround for this?
whats the picture?

judging by the resolution of the other files it may be too large for the wiki to render. If you look at the other files, they have an unnecessary high resolution.
EDIT: I have acrobat pro so I can extract the original images from the PDF at there native resolution/quality.
Really… Probably you’re right. I haven’t noticed that “little detail” on the pictures when I took them from the pdf. I’ll reduce the resolution.
On the next time, I’ll do that thing less asleep. lol.
Perfect. Thanks!
EDIT: And yes… I agree that is necessary to think in better ways to improve the security against vandals. We cannot to forget this.
Congrats to Catzeyes, Conti and FireTime, you are now wiki admins.
I’m not very comfortable with installing experimental syntax or 3rd party extensions into our wiki. I’ve had bad luck with these types of things deprecating and messing things up, in the past.
As long as this is a relatively rare event, hopefully we won’t need to go to these lengths. I have enough things to worry about as is, without having to worry about trying to debug wiki code when it (inevitably) fails.
Congrats guys!!
wow, Thanks Carlos! I’m honored to be selected as an administrator. I understand about the plugins. I know that wiki’s can be touchy creatures. (I’ve spent weeks attempting to integrate user lists/ login data with forum software before and it can drive a person insane.)
EDIT: Also Conti I was able to remove the corrupted file. It seems that there may be a physical limit on the server preventing the wiki from rendering the file. I guess we just have to make sure we keep the picture resolution under a few megs.
