How many “character profiles” exist? I believe this will determine the amount of facial diversity.

That’s the point. It creates different faces just by modifying the morph settings. That way they get a wide variety of heads without it taking up much space.
Bascially, the system utilizes an array for efficiency and diversity. Like I mentioned early, the actual degree of diversity is dependent upon “character profiles” created by the artists. At least thats the impression i get.
Not really a concern with this mod.
I personally side with the “change the logo” side. It’s not that big of a job, and everyone either doesn’t care or wants it to be changed, so what’s the big deal? You have a choice between pissing some people off, or spending one minute in Photoshop and pissing no one off, so why is it such a dilemma?
It’s called a Broken Base. Also called Unpleasable Fanbase and You Can’t Please Everyone. No matter how much you try to please the majority, there will always be some people who don’t like it, or in more extreme case (always) hate it so badly that it would seem like it’s a big dilemna. I really don’t care either way, but that’s sadly not the case with a lot of people.

I learn something new everyday from that site, and a lot of it’s true. Check out some of the Half-Life articles and other things relating to Half-Life (particularly in the tropes I mentioned) and YMMV on just how relateable that is to this and other sites. (I wrote The Scrappy)
But that’s my point: it’s not an unpleasable fanbase. Group X wants Z changed, Group Y doesn’t care. If you change it, everyone’s happy. I honestly doubt ANYONE is going to be like “but teh horse is the devs orignal vishun!!!”.

Your not even going to REALLY notice the logo in-game, get the fuck over it already.
That’s the point of this whole conversation.
If some people wanted all stop signs to be orange instead of red and no-one else cared, do you honestly think the council would go about changing all stop signs to orange?
That’s a terrible comparison.
The cost for changing all the stop signs would be immense and would take a long time to do, not to mention the stop sign is one of the most easily recognised signs in existence.
Changing the logo would take at best 5 minutes to do, you only have to change a couple textures, and either logo isn’t recognised by everyone anyway.
I think you have seriously underestimated the laziness of the developers in dealing with such a tiny detail.

Again, you can always change the texture on the beret when the mod is out.
