Hazard Course Remake

I’m good at sound engineering since I got a home studio, but I wouldnt know how to splice that into a Sector A sentence.

Can someone make choreography for us?
If interested post in this thread.
(I really need a choreographer to get a damn door open)
@Darkone

As far as I know, the only parts that are worth screenshots or a video is the 1st room and the terminal. The ending is also half done, but it has a lot of secrets and Jeff is working on it.

They’re just audio files. Can’t you just take “A” from another PA announcement and add it to the sound file to make a modified file?

that is possible but then you get sometging like this
now arraving at sector AY

Um… No?
isn’t that how ‘A’ is supposed to sound?

I’m talking about my Guard map where the PA system makes some announcements pertaining to Sector D.

I need it to say Sector A instead.

Which sounds file(s) are you using?

Hmm…I’ll see what I can do:freeman:

Alright, so since LarsBR seems to have dropped off the face of the earth, I whipped up a 50% scale holo emitter with the keypad removed (it would have been impossible to use at that size) and the UV edited to get rid of the screens (Again, very small and not too useful for this purpose)
You can grab it from my dropbox.

lol

I guess we need to resize the 1st room, but Dky has a great advantage with this.

Oops!
No no, I’m still around  and if you need my services I’ll gladly join and chip in. Just let me know how.

Phonetical ‘Sektor EI’

PM’d the dropbox details to you.
I don’t know if Crypt wants you to join us though, but…the more the merrier I’d say gheh.

wish I could help, but I know nothing about making anything… when you get to the point of testing it out, I am good at finding ways to break things.

Uh take a look at the ambient_generics in my guard room vmf. I forgot.

Hey since boxnoob gave you the dropbox info, can you take a look at my shooting range map and see if you can make a model to spice up the [cool_feature]? Right now I only have basic placeholder brushwork which is kind of bland.

I’ll look at the files, I might be ab le to splice something together pretty easily. Edit: Apparently she managed to record without ever saying “A,” on it’s own.

Actually, the first room was built without the emitter in mind. The fact that it fit so perfectly was just lucky.

Gah, you make me sound like a dick, :’(

I’m pretty sure we need at least a few models, so if he’s offering, can do it, isn’t a jerk and has the time, I don’t see the problem.

Next step on agenda: Alpha test?

Honestly at this point it’s still kindof in pre-alpha. We don’t have a coherent vision, we don’t have the concepts finalized, and the whole thing is basically a mess of bullcrap that we’re skipping standard production steps on because we’re noobs.

Buuut when we’re up to a point where testing would help, we’ll let people know. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, you’d pretty much be testing an early version of the beginning, and an early version of the end.
Wow, we really gotta get crackin’ on this shit.

When I get time I swear I’ll get to the jump, crouch, and crouch-jump rooms.

I may be able to do the flashlight section, and add in a part that teaches a new gameplay element not used in HL; Flares!

But not for at least a few days, because I have all sorts of schoolwork/university and college applications to do.

Oh, okay. I guess this means I started something somebody else had already been working on again, huh? :retard:
Welcome aboard!
Oh well, not a total waste on my part. It was good practice!
