So say t0a0 and t0a0a are merged. We name it “bm_t0a0a” because it’s the first map. Then t0a0b and t0a0c are merged, then that one’s called “bm_t0a0b” because it’s the second map.
It’s actually pretty simple. I know Black Mesa split the maps at different sections and they sticked close to the original map names without problem.

The original Hazard Course never had any tX or aX numbers, they were just 0 for all maps.
I say we take advantage of a different numbering system and use those tXaX numbers for something.
We could make aX stand for area, such as movement, shooting, etc.
Yup, I started that project a few years ago as a test in SDK 2009. That was on my old computer (from 2002) and it had trouble with shadowed textures in Hammer. Every missing texture was white - an even white. So I took some measures and made my own maps. But it is still a more or less direct adaptation of the old Hazard Course maps.
I’m pretty suprised by the fact that this thread dies every now and then.
We should probably start setting some goals for ourselves or nothing will get done.
here are some goals
get the basic lay out done.
plan the rooms out what rooms are needed how will they be done and so on.
get some one that can animate npcs, (cause you will need them for the hologram)
i always draw an overlay for some of my levels so im ignoring thia huehuehue

I think the topic its self should be remade with the OP showing what you are doing images of what has been done and a list of who is doing what… think the hole topic needs to be remade.

yeh this topic needs locked and a new one needs to be made… of course I have no say in this but really think a new topic needs to be made in sector C. titled something like “community project - hazard course remake”
Do you guys want the existing thread moved to Sector C, or do you want to make a completely new thread there and lock this thread?
