Our family agreed not to buy gifts for each other this year. Instead we pooled our money and put it toward buying a well in a third world country. Then we spent the whole day enjoying one another’s company, finishing off by getting online and killing zombies together.
That’s a good investment; a lot of people rely on that as their sole source of water, so you can hike the price as much as you want.
Yah, that’s kind of what I figured. 
Worst christmas for me, one of our cats that we’ve had for ages has a life threatening condition and is unlikely to survive for much longer. She’s very pale, doesn’t eat anything and has gotten very skinny.
As a comparison here she is just a few months earlier sleeping next to me on my chair as usual:
Didn’t expect this to happen at all, we have another cat which is much older and is still very healthy, me so sad right now. We’ve had this cat for 14 years.

Well, she just passed away. She tried to walk but I guess it hurt too much. After that she was completely silent, she stopped moving / responding to anything and not long after she stopped breathing.

According to the vet the cause was probably a tumor on the bone marrow that slowly destroyed her ability to make red blood cells.
That’s hard, so sorry.
How does a cat look pale?
They check the inside of the ears and the gums. After that they might shave part of the cat to check the skin. And thanks everyone, burried the cat today.

Was a big loss for me, I’ve known/raised this cat since I was a little kid. I remember building her cardboard forts when I was like 6 years old. For the past few years she was mostly in my room sleeping next to me while I was working.
Worst part was that it all happened so fast, one morning everything is fine and we’re having a family dinner with christmas, the next morning I wake up and find out that she is going to die within hours.
