Hardcore punk rock vs mainstream pop punk

In this thread we shall discuss Hardcore punk(husker du, many others) versus mainsteram punk music (Green day, blink 182, ect)

Go.

I think in a lot of cases the difference is playing ability - a punk rock band naturally goes through a progression from not being able to play their instruments at all, to competency, to proficient musicianship. The “proficient musicianship” phase is commonly referred to by fans of bad music as “selling out.”

I always liked punk rock

Punk Rock over Pop any day.

Clearly I’m just bias though, as I don’t like pop much, I’m a rock person.

I vote for whatever this music falls under.

Punk has become a bunch of whinny emo faggots who think that their parents being mean is a reason to hate things, so I choose none.

just tiny i guess but that penis prob went more places than any of us can dream so have some respect

I’ll stick to ska thank you very much.

It all fucking sucks compared to slayer and led zepplin.

Even the bands these days tha AREN’T selling out are influinced by those that are.

Punk isn’t my genre.

Slayer fucking sucks compared to Led Zeppelin. There is nothing that doesn’t fucking suck compared to Led Zep.

Queen > Led Zeppelin

I hate it when people only listen to a few bands or a few genres of music :expressionless: I especially hate people who only listen to one genre. Most of those are r&b fags or jumpers though. Or metalheads :expressionless:

metalheads are the worste

Accurate, but to even compare Queen to Led Zeppelin is blasphemy

heeere we are

SLAPSHOT, motherfuckers!

who the fuck is that dude :fffuuu:
