same here, except it wasn’t last week, it was last month
Muslims don’t celebrate birthdays, except for Muhammad’s, so no congratulations for you!
I presume that he’s referring to the fact that because of the most recent forum crash, an awful lot of people will have the same ‘birthday’, 2nd May.
no. and stop copy/paste from other sites :jizz:
I didn’t copy paste, opposite of what you may want to believe or think, I know quite a few Muslims and have 2 friends that are Muslim. Most of them don’t celebrate their or other people’s birthdays.
The ones that do celebrate are generally moderate Muslims that don’t strictly follow the Ramadan etc.
what the ?! what does Ramadan have to do with Birthdays man ?!, anyways the celebrations of Birthdays wasn’t forbidding, there were nothing in the Qur’an or hadiths that mentioned that, just because Mohammed didn’t do it it doesn’t mean he Forbade it. and that’s my friend of what we call “Taqreer”
The Ramadan thing was merely an example to illustrate that the ones that do celebrate birthdays aren’t really the typical hardcore Muslims and just Muslim per definition (born in a Muslim family etc).
Also, allow my to actually copy-paste this time around: https://www.islam-qa.com/en/ref/1027/birthday
1.Ask a Muslim thread. 2.Post 3.Profit
- Birthday thread
- Post about Muslim birthdays
- ???
- Pointless internet discussion, but still on topic
It’s not like this thread matters anyway.
True, it’s only Mac’s birthday.
See? Who? Oh right. The thing I don’t use.
Not that kind of Mac, a different kind of Mac. Inferior kind.
So, I didn’t send you any cake, Mac.
I don’t really care if there’s any hard felling between us.
