Happy Birthday Half-life!

Why did they even announce this and say “soon” :confused: 4 months later still no release

Because “soon” is kind of subjective.

I don’t think “soon” is 4 months or longer in anyones book

For those who waited eight years for the first release, 4 months is nothing. Soon is sometime in late 2014 if not 2015, by my guess.

It is for patient people who don’t come to a community specifically to bitch about semantics they’re unhappy with.

Soon has no set time span, it’s all relative. I’m going to bed soon. It will be Summer soon. Black Mesa will be released soon.

i can see how it may seem that i’m just here to bitch but its more that i’m a big fan of this and i want to buy it on Steam asap since i feel like replaying it but don’t feel like playing the ‘old’ version when the new one is coming ‘soon’.

@subatomic
if late 2014 early 2015 really is true i don’t get why they announce it in november 2013 and say soon but ok

Because shit happens. They aren’t making the game full time and so these things are a guess at best.

Of course you can always make the game come out faster by joining the team.

Damn, completely missed this news! No rush though, I guess :slight_smile: heh

Poised and ready to buy as soon as it hits. (Belated) Congrats on the news guys! Having played 1.0 and loved it, I have no problem paying especially with Xen on the way. Totally justified IMO, and I’m happy to contribute to the team’s upkeep :slight_smile:

So, still nothing?

Nope.

I’m guessing it’ll be the birthday this yea when we’ll see a release.
