so today i decide to install half life won so i do this and play when the searria loga pops up there is all this pixilated mess on the top of the searria logo so i thinks its just a normal bug but after the valve logo the screen turns black i move my curser around and hear the menu sounds any fix

try launching it directly from the exe and make sure the cd is in the drive. if all else fails just register it on steam
ok i did the exe thing still black screen at menu also i copied the iso off a disc im trying not to use the steam version cause it dosent work with all the mods
and a new issue occured if i get half life to start at inbound i go to the menu it shows but the half life logo is all blue pixilated but the menu sorta works

no it isnt patched the problem is other people can play it just fine but for me the menu is black and pixilated meaning i cant play the game

Anyway, if I ignore the part of my brain that says you’re clearly committing piracy, what OS are you using and have you tried running in compatibility mode? Sounds like an OS compatibility problem, or your install wasn’t successful. You should go get the CD you copied the ISO from and try reinstalling from that. It’s possible your ISO is corrupt.
OR… someone throw this guy ten bucks so he can purchase a real copy. Gawd.
I seem to not be able to run SHL, but that may just be my computer being to new, I’ve had problems with games like that before.

yep means i cant use it till new one arrives the thing fried itself overnight it wasnt doing anything il figure out why it fried later

ok this thread can be closed now the issue has been fixed with one minor issue being the logo.avi file i think is corrupted but at least the game is playable may be cause the cd is needs to be cleaned but the game works
