Flashlights on the vehicles are useless anyway, since the vehicle chapters are in broad daylight…
The coast has a lot of dark tunnels.
Finaly someone from my world.
[COLOR=‘Pink’]Thanks, Adam and I didn’t mean your avatar is ugly.
[COLOR=‘Pink’]OH MY GOD - I THOUGHT THAT ONLY HAPPENED TO ME. I thought it was something on my game.
I got an idea, why not use Alyx’s subtitle font color?
Yes, but they were empty and easy to transverse. I mean, a light on the buggy would be nice, but not really necessary or even useful. You could put it to use on a mod, but then you might as well just script it in yourself. I can’t be that hard, right?
Aha, I figured out why the coast levels were giving me HDR-less fullbright grief. HDR was disabled for some reason.
That Gnome’s been SPDed
Neither is the airboat lamp. In fact none of the areas in Water Hazard are dark enough to need a light.
need, no.
That tunnel with the big piles of debris to jump, being awesome, yes.
I have played through HL2 at least 5 times and I only ever found out that the airboat’s got lights from these forums. So I guess you may have a point here…
I’m new here, but before I introduce myself, I just wanted to say:
You guys are ignorant about what water looks like in real life. That is all.
In the second one the guys standing by the fence talking are missing too. (“Dr. Breen again? I thought I’d seen the last of him in City 13.” “I wouldn’t say that too loud…”) In fact it looks like you bumped into the area where they were supposed to be lol
I can’t find a video of it but there’s another glitch…if you get the gnome positioned correctly in the back window, it won’t come out when you’re driving, which is helpful for the little rocket man achievement. However, at seemingly random areas in the map, it will cause the jalopy to stop as if you hit a rock or tree. When you get out and look at it, dust comes out of the car and it makes noises as if the car is hitting something over and over. Alyx usually makes her “oof we hit something” sounds too. It doesn’t stop until you take the gnome out.
That sounds like a simple physics glitch that can be done with a lot of things. I’ve gotten both the dune buggy and the jalopy jammed on certain things that make it impossible to move, even with grav gun assistance. The gnome’s probably acting like a fixed object such as a tree, and since it’s IN the car you can’t deal with it.
I can do that too
And I never managed to get it to fling me in the correct direction…

That video was strangely amusing, Cameron
Oh the joys of jumping on SPD’d objects.
