Yeah, but the broken stuff after Resonance cascade consists of interesting broken shit, like computers, machines, laser beams, and people.
Trailer would be more impressive if it didn’t have the zombies. They’re just so damn identical.

Thanks for the comment. You seem to know your shit when it comes to what other people behind closed doors. I’m sure you have the whole black mesa leadership tree planed out along with their plans.
Level art looks ok. Other than that, who knows. I never played opfor1 so…
Seeing as that it’s the combine, I would be led to assume it’s for Half-Life 2, if that’s the case, it’s piss poor and doesn’t look anything like City 17 since that’s where Half-Life 2 took place. Not to mention the ant lions. Doesn’t look that accurate to that of Half-Life 2 if all. Not to mention combine shooting at their own technology…really kills it.
Not missing that much IMO. Besides a shit load of Star Wars: ANH references. Then again, I’m the crazy bastard who actually likes Blue Shift… :meh:
If you knew enough about it to be allowed to critisize it seriously you would know that it takes place DURING THE 7 HOUR WAR which means that City 17 were only in blueprint-stage back then. I don’t see that the rest of your arguments make sense either.
You’re not alone dude. Even though i liked Opposing Force too.
Then I would choose a more appropriate title. “The 7 Hour War” or “Citadel Rise”, or just something other then opposing force because the first thing that I think of, is what the combine went through as Gordon Freeman was tearing them apart. Then that is what led me to think it was a ‘current’ city 17.
An objective is to make the title represent the plot/story as best as possible to give a short description of most or part of the game. For example, the new ‘Avatar’ movie. It’s properly titled because the military force takes over a body of the alien species making it, its avatar. Without that ability, the entire movie would be different.
So don’t go bashing me when you [the rest of the team] need to properly title the mod to bring in people who have no idea what it is [me] to get them interested. Not to mention OF2 also references an OF remake. You need to consider all audiences, familiar to the game, and not.
it says in the mod’s title, Q3 2010 (aka fall or winter of '10, if they do release it then)
Look out, guys, he’s using underlines!
So the combine designed and built a run-down post-soviet eastern european city, neighboring towns and mines as a human habitat or something?
Doesn’t look bad. Honestly, it looks better than most mods. I think most in here are grading it on the Black Mesa Scale.
In which case it gets 5 :X
I think you all missed the fact that it’s in City 14. Not 17.
O hai guize! Any rape goin’ on?
Some people whinin’ about an actually decent-looking mod. Nothing new.
I think the mod it’s coo’
looks interisting
I really wish i knew how to remove my stupid replies. :[
But, I know like hell that if they bring back Adrian they better have him in his normal clothes. Because he was put into stasis like gordon.
Maybe we have already met Adrian Shephard. Since nobody knows the face behind the mask, nobody may ever know. :ninja:
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
