San Andreas has a Version 3. Basically the downloadable version.

For some reason, the developers disabled the ability to mod on this one (except for a few graphic mods)

I was playing the multi-theft-auto mod, a few months ago, with the steam version of Gta San Andreas. If I can remember right, I had to use a special executable (older version or sth) which I copied in the games folder with a slightly different name from the official steam executable.

They do, you cannot install mods on lots of games if you get them via steam, for example, Fallout 3, Football Manager (all of them :stuck_out_tongue: ) Grand Theft Auto. Do your research first.

You can mod Fallout 3 on steam. All mods are compatible, easily and perfectly.

Well, lots of people I know have had trouble adding mods onto all of those games. I am not quite sure why steam messed up games like that, but it does :S

No OBSE for Oblivion. At least I’m pretty sure there isn’t, because the D2D version doesn’t work because of the encrypted .exe, so I would imagine steam would be the same.

Mods that modify the main .exe of the game on Steam won’t work… most of the time.

Vice City is still one of my favorite games, I even used to mod a bit :3
I made cross-hairs in Paint , some guys even downloaded them oO and also a stunt video ^^ mmh, those actually might still be up at gta-action.com :fffuuu:

San Andreas was nice too, but somehow I kinda didn’t like it that much…
Would love to play GTA IV but I heard the PC port isn’t too good? like high hardware requirements and stuff… any experiences?
and too bad I missed that Christmas sale :frowning:

I’ve been pretty laid back and relaxed over the past few months on these forums, but get the fuck out of here.

I mean really, you come in here and ask for free games, and when people say no or question you, they aren’t decent? What the fucking fuck? I’ve gifted a ton of games to people on these forums via steam. But it’s always been from me offering first, or them indirectly mentioning they don’t have it or would like it. In those cases it’s ok, but just fucking asking and then getting all high and mighty when people question you? Fuck!

I was mainly referring to level’s comments and the people who were rude for no reason, there wasn’t really any reason to be rude, he just did it because he could.

And I was not getting all “high and mighty” when someone questioned me and I did not expect anyone to give me a copy, anyway, as I said, I have a copy of the game now, can’t we just leave it at that now?
