The assasins should have (and use) the remakes of the original assasin kick animations.
Like I said, I know it really doesn’t make sense, but for some reason I don’t see any gore or gruesomeness in any of the HL series to be quite as graphic as “scripted throat cutting.”
Don’t get me wrong, I’ll play gruesome games, install gore mods and play with all the splatter and blood spray on; and I like exploding bodies as much as the next person, but I still think the throat cutting would be a little over board.
Well, for BM, anyway…
Gibbing is fairly comical, because that doesn’t normally happen except in video games. Throat slitting is more graphic because you can see someone having their life taken, and still look into their eyes and see them realize they’re dying.
There’s a difference between the graphicness of throat-cutting and the graphicness of gibbing.
Gibbing is a way to get rid of bodies from time to time, in circumstances they would normally be pulverised. It’s silly to have bodies go flying like a rocket from large explosions.
But the knife would be a ridiculous waste of time, as the player doesn’t cut throats… In games we typically slash at limbs until the enemy is dead. To go in and execute the individual with one stroke is graphic. We don’t need that because there’s nothing silly about slashing a person to death.

Uh, I’d rather watch throat cutting myself. It’s more awkward to see pieces of what used to be a human; plus intestines smell horrible when they are broked open. Smells kinda like poop. A slit throat is not as messy and smells alot less…gross. Although both are pretty unsettling.
In reality, yeah, but in a game gibbing is a lot less unsettling because it never really looks realistic. At least with the way they’re doing it in BM.
I saw that the latest version of the Glock is 2 handed, is there anything we can do to get it one handed?
One handed is more awesome imo.
how is virtual throat-slitting any worse than virtually mowing down scientists and soldiers with bullets? neither is more “real” in the context of the game, and they both have the same result. Not that I think the mod needs to include this

You could make it more like a spotlight increasing the range but decreasing the area of effect and vice versa?
