ROFL! Do want!
ALSO: blinds
That’d be a nice touch.
I hope there are meme references… as easter eggs, of course. But we most not speak of them. So… I’d better shut up, then.
You know I’d like an actual game without all that crazy stuff you guys seem to be into.
Also, blinds.
Since there was a reference to the disgusting and, most likely, tragic fate of a cat in HL2 (Red letter day), and a burned cat in R&D as well, I would find it hilarious to have something bad happen to a cat in BMS as well. (This idea was obviously inspired by that flick with the cat in the fan, but meh)
I’m sorry, but R&D?
Research and Development.
We don’t know what happened to the cat, and when though.
Cut lines from the leak suggest that the cat was turned inside-out, but even then we don’t know when that happened.
I always assumed it was forever stuck between two waypoints, like in the Jaunt (which I personally find scarier in concept). but I guess a nod to the fly would make more sense.
Ffs, I know right?
I’d probably shoot myself right then and there if a scientist said anything pertaining to “over 9000,” out of pure annoyance.
That story scared the shit out of me. The Jaunt, that is.
Why, that spectrometer has reached a resolution and mass that is far beyond the point of one thousand, to the fact it is over nine of them. I dare say I am worried as such that that much could possibly result in the carrying over of alternate dimensions as to such unleash a cascade, if not of resonance.
Anyway, to actually contribute to the thread, how about when you get to a G-man sighting, he does more than just stand there and walk away? I’d always like to see him lean in to look at you, or cock his head, or set down the briefcase and cross his arms, staring you down.
I was just catching-up with the dev blogs when I came across this:

The wall chargers look pimp, and I’m all for the retcon of hardware that matches “relics” we see in HL2. (bit of a conundrum, that)
Anyway, I just have a niggle about the screens. They just show the H.E.V. logo and the “charge” remaining. It animates and all, that’s great. It just seems like there should be more on those screens. Maybe some techno-gook with callout lines or some such, mipped-out so that the “text” isn’t actually readable. Think games like Dark Forces/Jedi Knight and the in-game “screens” that you would see.
Of course, that’s a prime area to put in an EE as well.
The main thing I notice is it doesn’t say “Charger ready,” like the HL2/HL1 model. I think the “HEV” on the screen is sort of redundant.
This is a very minor detail, but according to the HL1 HEV charger and the one seen in EP2, there should be a label here:
Yeah, it would be better if the LED screen said “Charger Ready” and “Charger Depleted”. It already says HEV on the faceplate, no need to put it on the screen as well.
The label in the original looks like a set of instructions, maybe these are now listed on the red screen to the right?
The label on the faceplate from HL2 looks like something that has been slapped on, like that particular unit has been decommissioned / dismantled and the label would have a reference number on it or something.
The charger is the same and yet different. So the label is probably elsewhere unseen.
It’s longer than you think.
Heheh, stupid kid.
Clawing his eyes out, what a little scamp.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
