Got a Quick Suggestion? - Small suggestions that don't need their own thread

Yes, that’s what Soup said :expressionless:

Argh I gotta know my stuff more. But I don’t surf the fourms and posts that are old like you do. And i wasn’t there at the time when Valve said it.

Sorry this isnt suggestion, but out of curiosity:
What is race-x exactly?

https://half-life.wikia.com/wiki/Race_X

The aliens in opposing force that gearbox made up. They’re only in the game because gearbox was getting tired of using Xen aliens so they made up some new, non-canon race of aliens.

It would be a nice touch if we could see the x-ray scan of the alien grunt in the Advanced Biological Research Labs somewhere:

It’ll never be a cannon, or canon.

This has now happened. Look at for example Danerd9.

I love you :jizz:

Hang on, let me wipe up the pieces of brain on my walls.

Oh, I get it. Fong thinks it’s a winking smiley. Hu hu hu hu, the naivety.

You’d be suprised how much I know.

:fffuuu:

Should we tell him?

hohoho, that’s pretty swell!
I think he’ll appreciate it… @Fong: https://www.youtube.com/watch#!v=4jEIgL39xxI

I was looking at the lambda core teleporter, and a few things came to mind that didn’t really make much sense.* why did it hurt to stand at the bottom of the teleport?

  • why was there so little use of safety railing around the teleport?
  • why do people need to jump into the teleport instead of just walking into it?
  • how did they transport other equipment through the teleport that was too big to throw or carry?
  • what was the point of the high platform near the scientist operating the teleport?
  • why did the scientist need to be that close to the teleport anyway?
  • what was that noise-making thing you step through before the teleport room?
Anyone have any suggestions about how to make sense of this?

I think it’s supposed to be some sort of decontamination system. Would be more convincing with a set of airlock doors though. Either that or a metal detector that your guns set off but that doesn’t really make a lot of sense.

Yea you got that wrong there. It’s actually felcon kick. People just miss spell it often.

I know that’s what it’s for in terms of gameplay, but why would that be there in terms of story? Unless controllers regularly appeared when they used it to go to xen, and it was some bell tower used for picking them off, there’s no purpose for it being there.

lolwat?

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
