Surely you jest… right?:retard:
Don’t call him Shirley!
Doesn’t really work in writing :3 .
That’s the joke
Oh, no! I ruined the joke :fffuuu: !
Power Up comes to mind…except in HL1, they didn’t have the brains to run and all died painfully…poor guys.
And there was only 2 of them instead of a room full of 'em.
You never really saw HUGE HUGE numbers of HECU together…they typically were spread out and were really dangerous in harder difficulties. I thought there were other HECU in Power Up that were scattered around, but I doubt that 4-5 in a room would be justified. If there was…maybe 10-15 HECU in the area(Securing, cleaning up alien threats, ect) they may not have known about Gargs(Or they might have not had 2 soldiers with SMGs shooting it pointlessly). It was fun watching though.
That’s nice. So no unlocks for you after all, aihuman.
It is interesting to note that the numbers of soldiers in any one given area in HL1 are actually quite low compared to HL2, in which the Combine seem to use rush tactics of 10 troops at a time on a regular basis.
Well, I thought that that HECU soldiers took a lot more punishment than the Combine soldiers. It could be just because I haven’t played either in awhile, but the Combine soldiers seemed much more fragile. More weak enemies vs Few strong enemies?
three pistol shots to the head will kill a grunt on medium difficulty, I think it’s two in HL2?
It’s two pistol shots to the Overwatch CP’s. I’m pretty sure it’s more to the actual soldiers.
EDIT: I’m referring to headshots, btw.
I think it’s about 4 or 5 on medium.
So no unlocks? Blue gravity gun as unlock would have been sweet.
By Commander I assume you mean the squad leaders? I doubt we’ll actually fight the HECU Commander himself.
If anything, you’d think that the Squad Leader’s lack of a helmet would make him a vulnerable, but important asset to the squad, thus he’d be more likely to stay in the back while the helmeted and armored grunts dish out pain on a more personal level.
So, raw_bean locked my thread before I could find this. In Kliener’s Lab, there is a corkboard, and on it is a magizine cover from around the time of the BMI, showing Kliener with a 70/80s style haircut, with brown hair.
Thought it might be nice to have in Black Mesa’s Kleiner Model.
Uh when Ram says Commander I think he means the grunt designated to be in command of the other grunts in the area, not necessarily the actual commander.
But if you wanna get technical, the only american soldiers that don’t wear their helmets in combat are Special Forces, it has nothing to do with their rank. I’ve seen ranks all the way up to generals in combat and they always wear their helmet when they go out side the wire just like everyone else.
I know that. But in Half-Life everybody wears helmets, except the Squad Leader, who wears a red beret.
I am hoping they invoke the “no_clip” jail time bit. This way ALL OF YOU would be forced to play the game as designed! muahahahaha!
