Got a Quick Suggestion? - Small suggestions that don't need their own thread

I see what thou didst there :stuck_out_tongue:

Its not nessesary. Wind howling usually quiet that human voice, much less helicopters

could there be towels in black mesa rule: 42

i was thinking, in the later portion of surface tension, when the player reaches the bombed out sections of the facility (a little after the armory), there could be a distinct shroud of smoke over one side of the sky. Hazy, Something like this:

perhaps partially obscuring one side of the sky in the direction where ruined buildings and equipment/fuel is burning in the thick of the warzone, (with some clouds of smoke drifting into the sky in the distance) but the other side is still clear blue sky.

the skys just seemed far too calm in the original

Oh yeah, did you end up fixing that?

Oh yeah… :retard:

awesome.

I hate brown tints/overlays.

Here’s my suggestion. It might have been already discussed/implemented, but I think the beginning monorail ride (inbound?) is a bit slow. Perhaps if there’s a music track long enough that fits the feel of the journey, it might make it more bearable? Especially if you go back and play the game again.

like zeppelin?

i was thinking ZZ-TOP or Black sabbath

I personally just hope for an awesome Black Mesa track to play while on the tram. The original is still awesome IMO. The pacing and the industrial music really sets the mood, and does well to emphasise that you are in a big bugger of a facility

Just let the background music load and play.

Yeah, heard that a while back. That would suit me. Plus all the awesome visuals going on around you, people going about their business and all the other activity that make the facility feel alive.

How about whenever you do something that contradicts the events of HL2 (Kill Eli/Kleiner, die before reaching the test chamber) Colonel Cambell yells “Time Paradox!”

How about no.

Seriously, that is getting really old.

I loved the tram ride, it started off the epic tone of the game, going through such a mind-bogglingly large place.

I loved it because it gave you a brief view of every-day life and gave you some familiarity with the facility before everything went to hell.

Edit:

Maybe we should be able to see ammo for weapons we don’t have yet, but not be able to pick it up. Like finding crates of Depleted Uranium in closets before we get the Tau Cannon, but not being able to use them (because they are useless to you at the time).

I believe depleted uranium wasn’t available until deeper in the facility for a good reason: It’s a highly experimental ammo type for a highly experimental weapon.

Depleted Uranium ammunition is hardly experimental, it’s in regular use right now. it’s certainly controversial, now banned in Belgium with more countries likely to follow suit, but not experimental.
