Got a Quick Suggestion? - Small suggestions that don't need their own thread

You gave a technical explanation which I - as a non-mapper - didn’t understand. That’s why I asked again. You could’ve easily said that it’s a limitation of the Source engine that you couldn’t work around. That would’ve gotten your point across just as well, only without all the anger.

EDIT: I’m not trying to have the last say here, I’m simply trying to explain why I asked the question twice. Now, since I understand (I think) that it’s an engine limitation, I’ll drop the subject.

This is just an idea I’m pitching. its most likely a no… but i was wondering… after you come out off the test chamber area. there’s a room where there’s a lazor shooting out of a wall. which you must duck under. and a second one that pops open and starts cutting a wall as you walk away from the first lazor. maybe as the 2nd lazor pops out. A scientist “attempts” to run up to you for help and the lazor pops out and cuts him in half. Like the zombies in hl2 with the saw but a lot slower? its prolly never going to happen but its an idea. sorry if I’m wasting your time I’m just pitching an idea.

It sounds cool, but AFAIK, UC is finished, and that would require a new model for the meat on either end of the scientist/the corpse.
Still, it sounds cool, but I doubt the devs will implement it. :frowning:

There’s already a dead security guard getting cut in half, isn’t that enough?

like i said in my last post. “I’m just pitching am idea” they prolly will never even consider it since they are so far into development. I’m just pitching random ideas that sound cool and people may want but will never happen. I’m just gonna say with that “Isn’t that enough?” Personally you could never have enough to further with more and more detail show to the player how much this place is going to hell. End Transmission

No offense is taken Grevious. There is a lot of things in game that are not tweaked to an ocd precise perfectness. In most cases, you really have to ask yourself “how many people are gonna notice this, and does it matter even if they do?”

Otherwise this mod will never be released. Oh… and I gotta siggy that Ram. Your retort is priceless and makes me giggle every time I see it.

You don’t think it was a little bit much adding ‘the great’ to your sig, Catz…? :3

whut? he aint great? =P

sorry. I am his biggest fan.

I’m sorry I’m new is the ram like the funny guy on the forums or something?

He’s our equivalent to Satan bscly. Except we don’t have a god to counterbalance.

apart from HUBI and RAW_BEAN

As Ram mentioned the last visual pass was done by him and a previous pass done by OnboardError - this is mentioned on the same page the screenshots come from as well (but I have the feeling the majority of people on my webpage ignore the text)

Hubi doesn’t mod and Bean has less moderating power than Ram. So no.

Also, why put their names in capitals? That’s just stupid.

Also, why use capitals for their name but not bother to make the first letter of your sentence a capital?

Also, I don’t like you.

All good points.

Yeah, the screenshots are too sexy to ignore. I read a bit, since I have dialup and had to wait for the pics to load though.

He’s the most active developer, plus he’s…well, you’ll see for yourself if you stay long. Everyone knows him, everyone gets laughs from some of his posts, and everyone fears him when he’s in a bad mood.

:’( So I’m not the only one with shit internet in the country! Yes I’m a hillbilly with internet deal with it :3.

:fffuuu: so basically he is Bill Cosme, mixed with Darth Vader! My word he sounds interesting! Does he like ham ^_^?

You forgot to mention that everyone loves her nose.

Unless you did something to his copulatory organs, Ram is a guy.

So wait what… the ram is a he or a she? I’m confused?

He’s a guy. Actually, no better yet Raminator has no gender. Raminator is just Raminator.

…and looks fantastic in a summer dress.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
