Got a Quick Suggestion? - Small suggestions that don't need their own thread

^^ Such as on the tram at the beginning? Where Blue-Shift retconned Gordon to be in the passing tram.

Something should be done about the 357 and Shotgun ammo boxes- It’s always weird to see them upside down and have no ammo fall out of them. Making the top of the box close more would suffice.
Or if they’re in a plastic holder or something (idk, I don’t hang around gun stores or use them), jigglebones on the cardboard flaps would be nice.

What? You’re on the same tram in HL.

Can’t be any more ridiculous than the pistol ammo boxes containing only a single magazine and two extra bullets.

In BMDM, the zombie player model should use the yellow (alien) blood istead of the human blood :stuck_out_tongue:

20 rounds isn’t an uncommon number for a box of ammo.

That doesn’t mean it makes sense.
But BM is using HL1-style ammo clips, so it doesn’t matter.

How does it not make sense?

Are you telling me it is perfectly normal for an ammo box like the one pictured (which could fit at least 5 pistol magazines in it) to only have one clip and two bullets inside?

I remember seeing this sort of ledge-grabbing ability in a patched version of the original on youtube, do you think you could slap that into the game?

This is Half Life, not Mirror’s Edge. Ledge grabbing would severely alter gameplay. After all, it’s a new mechanic, it would show Freeman’s hands (if it didn’t show them it’d look buggy) and Freeman is notoriously bad at scaling objects anyway.

Aren’t the flaps already physically-simulated or is it just me? :expressionless:

In HL2.

I don’t really remember. However it’s true that the shells appear to be glued in place. I haven’t checked but are the devs using .356 ammo boxes for the magnum? It just occured to me that it would make sense to find speedloader clips instead. Not really bothered if they don’t though.

Suggestion (had mentioned on previous forums, didn’t get followed up):

[COLOR=‘PaleTurquoise’]Allow bullsquids to drag victim corpses back to a private corner, or to the squid’s spawn point, prior to chewing on them.

There are many reasons this should be enabled, from historical precedent to player psychology.* Bullsquids in HL had private lairs, full of bodies, and one was even scripted to drag a grunt’s corpse into its hideout.

  • HL’s horror experience is enhanced if players observe monsters taking victims, and aside from the Tentacle, Bullsquids are the perfect entity to do this.

In general, tentacles taking humans…seems to be a common HL theme.

No.

It would be awesome but unless you fall upon one from behind unotice, it’s first reaction would be trying to kill you rather than dragging it’s dinner.

Look everyone he made another account! :retard:

PS: Saying “live in hell” upsets all the atheists here

Really ?

Fuck, does everyone here need the [SARCASM][/SARCASM] tags?

even if u put them on bacon im pretty sure there’d be a few tards who’d still fail to grasp the concept of sarcasm…
