Got a Quick Suggestion? - Small suggestions that don't need their own thread

I know! make a new console command that updates ragdolls (think the one that updates prop_physics so they can be settled at the start of the map)
And bash the ragdoll a couple times where you want the blood to be. Simple.
It’s either that, or no blood, IMO. I don’t want to have to download tons of skins.

But we’re just arguing amongst ourselves here, I bet the BM team has already finished all the areas we see it in.

Right, Ram? Right?

What about when Gordon’s firing the Gluon Gaun or/and the Tau Cannon, he moves slowlier? (Though I’m almost sure that this has already been implemented)

I ony think that it would be confusing to have dead scientists, where a monster is currently eating flesh part from, while body and lab coat appear to be completely clean and untouched.

What about iron sights, would those work or is it enough of a requested feature? That’s one of the things that bothered me about Left 4 Dead.

No iron sights. Devs said it many times.

No iron sites.

At that point they’d probably just use a generic corpse model, like the ones in HL2, except more scientific.

that’s disapointing :frowning:

It’s also not HL1, so I don’t see why you are disappointed.

Cause he’s a noob.

Why do they matter to you?

cause to him it’ll be the closest thing to firing a real gun? :stuck_out_tongue:

I wasn’t asking you. I just want to know why people seem so interested in them. Yes I know it’s a ‘trendy’ little fad these days, but people wouldn’t constantly be asking about it if there was no benefit. There’s usually a slight increase in accuracy in exchange for crippled movement speed, turning speed and/or the screen being as blurry as if I smeared all over it with vaseline but someone, somewhere can explain why they would want it in a game that is clearly NOT a tactical shooter.

hi folks (sorry for my english). I love this project but here’s something that’s bothering me:

If you want everything exactly the same as HL1 why not just play HL1?

And the only bit you haven’t scrawled over in red reads ‘WORK IN PROGRESS’. Does that possibly suggest anything to you?

I like the redesigns… half life 1 was designed based on whatever the technology could do at the time. If they stuck to the same design all the time it’d feel very… odd is the best word I can think of.

And it’s not gonna change now two month before release. If you want old textures, HLS is made for you.

In defense of the guy it maybe just came across as too harsh because english isn’t his first language… but of all the screenshots to pick on as being a major change that’s certainly not the one I would’ve chosen.

What’s not going to change? The level as represented by the screenshot? That screenshot wasn’t posted today, you know. It could have dramatically changed by now.

In defense of the guy (again) I didn’t like the beams at the ceiling, but I knew that this was a work in progress, so it’s a moot point to try to point it out.

Again, @Mont_Blanc, thanks for defending the mod, even if it was based on incorrect assumptions

That part with the giant fan, you should add some sort of indication that the air is being moved upward. Maybe a barrel or some loose panels, or even dust, being blown upward.

I remember the first time I played through, I had no idea I was supposed to jump into the fan and get blown to the ceiling, it actually took me awhile to figure out.
