If I remember correctly, Ram once said that it could be included but was left out, because it would slow down the FPS too much. At least it won’t be in Surface Tension, but maybe in smaller areas?
I think the words ‘if you want the game to run like a slideshow’ might have been used.
Just add an option to enable/disable it.
Why would someone want to enable an effect that will slow down their game to 1 fps?
How else would you be able to play Black Mesa: Slideshow? :retard:
Does it REALLY slow down the framerate to 1 fps?
And more to the point, why should the devs spend time and effort on a feature most people will not be able to use?
[COLOR=‘Red’]Not going to happen.
This feature was in a HL2 mod Stargate TLS and it was very smooth, so it shouldn’t be so bad.
If you want it that badly, can’t you add it to the maps after release?
For real, I actually paid a hell of a lot of money to build my computer so I could run these things. Could this at all be implemented later?
I think it would just be a particle effect or a shader or something, so as far as I know you can just add it hammer or something. Although I’m no expert and I’m probably wrong…
With a broken Zoetrope.
Sure, if you or someone else does it afterwards.
But my point is that the mod isn’t open-source, therefore I have no idea what avenues will be available for me to implement it.
[COLOR=’#212121’]Ah, would be good practice for me to take a whack at coding this.
You didn’t quote the most important part either. The devs have spoken, and what they said was [COLOR=‘Red’]Not going to happen. Move on.
Will I be able to select an option that makes ragdolls into props? If not, there should be. I want the dead HEV’s to slam into shelves and cause a domino effect, dammit!
As far as I know, there’s a console command that does that. something_collide or something of the sort, that causes corpse ragdolls to be able to stack, hit each other, etc. without falling through each other.
Yeah, but it doesn’t make them collide with other props.
I thought they collided with props anyways…?
